2025 Silver Pen Winners

The Stratford is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Silver Pen Competition. On April 23rd 2025, The Stratford hosted the two winners and their friends and families for an awards dinner. There, they were presented with $3,750 cash prizes. The essay topic for 2025 was as follows:

If you could have a conversation with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be and why? What would you discuss with that person?

The Stratford Members who made up the judging panel also selected the essay topic. The Silver Pen Writing Competition is an essay competition that The Stratford’s parent company, The Maxwell Group, started in 2012 to bridge the communication gap between high school seniors and community Members. Each participant submitted a written essay with a minimum of 1,000 words. Over the past eleven years, they have award these scholarships to high school seniors to help differ tuition cost.
